Hello there and I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. You deserve a great summer . I am always on the look out for topics to write on and lo and behold the local radio station coughed up this interesting story about family activities, here, in Edmonton, Alberta, called “Raising Edmonton”, a blog. School is out and the kids need things to do and this handy tool will give some great ideas to help the parents, who may need some creative ideas. Family and fun is what this is all about and some of these activities are even, wait for it, FREE! Yes, it is so nice when we can do stuff with the family for free. I hope this will help you a lot and please feel free to share this handy little tool, with your friends and family. Cheers. Stay safe out there and keep on smiling.

Here’s a little bit on the website(courtesy of Raising Edmonton: About):

Maybe you’re a new parent and you’re searching for the parent friendly places that you’re going to find in the city. Maybe you’ve lived here for a while, have passed the terrible twos and you’re just looking for a place to get out of the house. Maybe you need inspiration to add some fun into your life, and you just don’t know where to start in the community around you.

We’ve got you covered.

We’re a handful of Edmonton Moms (and a couple of Dads). We have been there, done that. We live downtown, we live outside of the city, and we live in the suburbs. We work, we play, and we entertain, everywhere in between. We are sharing our tips, our suggestions and the information that’s going to make raising kids easier, all in one place. Welcome to your go to Edmonton resource for parents – your Edmonton parenting blog that brings you local information first.

We have the Edmonton events that your kids are going to remember, tips to make those outings as smooth as possible and activities that are fun for the entire family. We’ve got resources like an Edmonton Preschool directory, an indoor playground directory, an Edmonton outdoor playground directory, a birthday guide and a list of Edmonton Spray Parks.

If you’re a parent in Edmonton, we’ve got the resources to make life easier. Welcome to Raising Edmonton, stay a while, and get inspired.
